With a bit of a weekend rest, they then found themselves in Rochester on Monday battling the Grizzlies. Despite their weekend rest, the Chill were unable to take down the Grizzlies.  The Chill took 2 out of 4 points on the week and remain in third place in the Central Division standings.

On Thursday, January 16th the Wausau RiverWolves came to town to start off the weekend. Early into the second Sam VanderHoeven would add another goal to his resume with an assist from Gijs De Schepper. Late in the second, newcomer Jeremiah Lebsack brought the Chill’s lead up to 3 with another goal assisted by Ethan McCormack. Almost mid-way through the third period Wausau denied the Chill of a shutout as they buried their first and only goal of the evening. Marco Escobar sealed the deal for the Chill with a goal late in the third with an assist from Parker Severson. A great deal of help came with securing their 4-1 victory over Wausau, that help came from goalie, Devin Naidow as he stopped 37 of the 38 shots he faced on the night.

After resting the remainder of the weekend, the Chill then traveled to Rochester to battle the first place Grizzlies on Monday, January 20th. The Chill rolled into the third period with momentum as Marco Escobar found the back of the net thirty seconds into the period to tie the game up.
