Janke Makes ACHA Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Matt Janke has committed to play ACHA Division II hockey for University of Mary.

Janke, 21, joined the Chill in November. While with the Chill this season, the 5’10/175 lbs. native of Weston, Wisconsin, recorded 22 goals and 27 assists in the regular season for a total of 49 total points. Janke was also selected for the Top Prospects Tournament where he recorded 1 goal and 2 assists.

We wish Matt the best as he moves into this next level of hockey.

Schultz Makes NCAA Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Donny Schultz has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Johnson and Wales University.

Schultz, 21, has played two seasons with the Chill/Freeze in the NA3HL. While with the Chill this season, the 5’7/150 lbs. native of Marquette, Michigan, recorded 18 goals and 32 assists in the regular season for 50 total points in 42 games.

“We are very excited for Donny’s commitment to Johnson and Wales, he is a player that will bring speed and grit to that club along with a goal scoring touch. Donny came ready to work everyday this season and played a large role in our success”.

Tilmon Makes NCAA Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that Forward Marcus Tilmon has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Trine University.

Tilmon, 20, has played the last two seasons with the Chill/Freeze in the NA3HL. While with the Chill this season, the 6’4/200 lbs. native of Rockford, Illinois, recorded 3 goals and 6 assists in the regular season for 9 total points in 25 games. During the two seasons with the Chill/Freeze, Tilmon played a total combined 72 games. He recorded 17 goals & 13 assists for a total of 30 points.

“Marcus came into our squad halfway through the season with the goal of gaining the opportunity to commit NCAA as a 1999 birth year. He has worked extremely hard on the ice and off to gain this opportunity and I am very excited to watch his continued growth and success as a young man”.

Akervik Makes NCAA Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Aslan Akervik has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Gustavus Adolphus College.

Akervik, 20, played this last season with the Chill in the NA3HL. While with the Chill this season, the 6’1/210 lbs. native of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, recorded 24 goals and 20 assists in the regular season for 44 total points in 47 games.

Caplis Makes NCAA Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that defenseman Keaton Caplis has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for King’s College.

Caplis, 19, has played the last two seasons with the Chill in the NA3HL. While with the Chill this season, the 6’/180 lbs. native of Gilbert, Arizona, recorded 5 goals and 27 assists in the regular season for 32 total points in 47 games. In the Central Division Playoffs, Caplis played in all 5 games, recording 2 goals and 1 assist.

Ratzloff Makes NCAA Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Brandon Ratzloff has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Augsburg University.

Ratzloff, 20, has played the last two seasons with the Chill in the NA3HL. While with the Chill this season, the 5’11/175 lbs. native of Rochester, Minnesota, recorded 27 goals and 57 assists in the regular season for 84 total points in 45 games. In the Central Division Playoffs, Ratzloff played in all 5 games, recording 1 goal and 4 assists.

De Schepper Makes NCAA Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that defenseman Toon De Schepper has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Wilkes University.

De Schepper, 20, has played the last four seasons with the Chill in the NA3HL. While with the Chill this season, the 6’0/185 lbs. native of Nieuwenrode, Belgium, recorded 11 goals and 69 assists in the regular season for 80 total points in 45 games.

Dabrowski Makes NCAA Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Sam Dabrowski has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Hamline University.

Dabrowski, 20, began the 2018-19 season playing in the NAHL for the Chippewa Steel. While with the Chill in the NA3HL, the 6’4/205 lbs. native of Onalaska, Wisconsin, recorded 10 points in just twelve games played.

Last season, Dabrowski played for the Coulee Region Chill NAHL Team. In 56 regular season games he recorded 14 points.  We wish Sam the best as he moves into this next level of hockey.

Magnavite makes NCAA Commitment

The Coulee Region Chill, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that forward Thomas Magnavite has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Saint Mary’s University.
Magnavite, 19, is in his second season playing in the NA3HL. He began the 2018-19 season playing in the NAHL for the Brookings Blizzard, where he recorded two points in eight games. While with the Chill in the NA3HL, the 5’9/175 lbs. native of Chicago, Illinois, has recorded 17 points in just seven games played.
That included a stretch back in mid-October when Magnavite was named the NA3HL’s Central Division Star of the Week, where Magnavite’s back-to-back hat-tricks were a main catalyst for the team’s success.
Last season, Magnavite played for the La Crosse Freeze (now Coulee Region Chill) in the NA3HL, leading the team to a Fraser Cup Final Four appearance. In 35 regular season games he recorded 44 points and added seven points in eight playoff games.
“Thomas is a very skilled and intelligent player and our program is thrilled that he has decided to stay close to home and pursue NCAA hockey at Saint Mary’s University,” said Jon Vaillancourt, head coach of the Coulee Region Chill.
“We are very excited to have Thomas. We are confident he will develop into a solid NCAA Division III player,” said Saint Mary’s head coach Bill Moore.

Lindauer makes NCAA college commitment

The Coulee Region Chill of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that veteran forward Brady Lindauer has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Saint Mary’s University in the MIAC.
Lindauer, 19, is in his second season playing junior hockey, which has been primarily spent in the NA3HL, also with some time in the NAHL. The 5’10/180 lbs. native of Cary, Illinois, is off to a good start this season with the Chill, having recorded six points in the first three games of the season.
During the 2017-18 season Lindauer split time with the Chill in the NAHL and the La Crosse Freeze in the NA3HL. In seven NAHL games, Lindauer had one point. He then thrived in the NA3HL for the Freeze, recording 64 points (16 goals, 48 assists) in just 34 regular season games, which ranked 2nd in team scoring.
Lindauer also had four points in eight playoff games. He was also selected to and played in the 2018 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Blue (Central/Coastal Division) team.
“We are very excited for Brady and his NCAA commitment to Saint Mary’s University. He is going to a fantastic hockey program under Coach Bill Moore. Brady was a key part out our programs’ success last season and embodies our core values as an organization and our persistence toward commitment to excellence. Brady’s tremendous on ice skill and IQ is equivalent to his character and leadership,” said Chill head coach Jon Vaillancourt.
