Close Game, Not Enough To Bring Home a Win

The Chill had only one Friday game this past weekend against the Wisconsin Whalers before they head into Thanksgiving break. The game was a 7:15 PM start at Oregon Ice Arena. The Chill were the first to get on the board midway through the first period with a goal from forward Joseph Wiczek (9:09; Christopher Drews). The Chill strike again, making it a 2-0 lead with a goal from forward Thomas Magnavite (16:52; Chase McLaughlin). The Whalers answer back a minute later, cutting the Chill’s lead 2-1 going into the second period. It was an even battle between the two teams during the second period until the final two minutes when the Whalers add their second goal of the game and tie it up 2-2. Third period, the Whalers get their third goal of the game just four minutes in and that goal is unanswered the rest of the game. Goalie Gunnar Snyder stopped 21 out of 24 shots during the game. The Chill head home with a 3-2 loss but look forward to reclaiming a win against the Whalers when they come back from their Thanksgiving break, where they will be back at Oregon Ice Arena on Nov. 30th for a rematch.
