Cory Lushanko (2-2-4) & Garrett Hendrickson (1-3-4) each had four point nights last Friday against the Aberdeen Wings in a Chill 5-2 win. Blake Cates was strong in net stopping 35 of 37 shots and the Coulee Region Chill out shot their opponent for just the 4th time this season. When the Chill have out shot their opponent they are 3-0-1. Saturday night was kind of a role reversal as the Wings controlled play for the first two periods out shooting the Chill, but were still heading to the 3rd period tied at one after a pretty goal by Travis Underwood tied things up in the 1st period on a pin point dish cross crease by Matt Williams. The Wings backup netminder Paige Skoog played lights out in the 3rd period, shutting the door on the Chill's hopes of evening things after Steven Johnson scored for the Wings to make it 2-1.
Tonight the Chill host the Austin Bruins in a rare Monday night game at the Omni Center. Austin was in last weekend and took 4 points against the Chill, coming from behind down 2-0 in the 3rd period and winning in a shoot out and then a 2-1 Saturday night win. The Bruins had a tough weekend though as they were upset by Minot on Friday night and beaten up 5-1 by Bismarck on Saturday night. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m.
