Chill split 2-game series with Magicians, turn attention to Jr. Blues

The Coulee Region Chill split their two-game series with the Minnesota Magicians in Richfield this past weekend.  Game one on Friday saw the Magicians pull away after the first period, winning convincingly 6-3.  The Chill bounced back, however, on Saturday in game two, scoring four goals in the final period to win 7-4.  Forward Alex Falconer and Defenseman Marshall Plunkett each scored twice while forward Kevin Dineen added three assists.

One of Falconer’s goals this past week was selected as the 8th best play of the week by the NAHL.

The weekend split moves the Chill to 3-3 on the season.

The Chill (3-3) will be on the road again this weekend as they travel to Springfield to take on the Jr. Blues (3-5) for a two-game set.  Both games will be played at the Nelson Center in Springfield.  Game time for Friday’s contest will be at 7:05 p.m.  Puck drop for Saturday’s contest will be at 6:05 p.m.
