The Chill had just one game this past weekend, a home game against the Milwaukee Power.
The first period began and the Chill were able to be the first on the board in front of a great crowd at Green Island Ice Arena. Connor Losen makes it 1-0 at 7:42 of the first period with help from Matt Janke and Flavien Fondadouze. Then Brandon Ratzloff gets on the board (15:26) with assists going to Brady Lindauer and Thomas Magnavite to make it 2-0. That would be the score for the Chill at the first intermission. Also, during the first intermission the Chill players were able to honor their Billet families that help make their junior hockey experience possible.
The second period was full of the Chill’s scoring flood. Connor Losen would get his second goal of the game early in the first (4:23; Matt Janke, Sam Dabrowski) to make it 3-0. Shortly after, Matt Janke would get on the board on the power play to make it 4-0 with help from Brady Lindauer and Toon De Schepper (5:04). Toon De Schepper would get a goal of his own to make it 5-0 at 16:46 of the second period, assists from Brady Lindauer and Connor Losen. Less than 30 seconds later, Thomas Magnavite gets one on the board with help from Brady Lindauer and Toon De Schepper to make it 6-0. To round out the second period, Matt Janke gets his second goal of the game on the power play with just 17 seconds left in the period (Toon De Schepper, Thomas Magnavite). Ending the second period with a 7-0 lead over Milwaukee, the Chill were feeling comfortable with their lead.
The third period would finally see a goal from the Power at 13:18 to make it 7-1. However, Brady Lindauer would get the last goal of the game less than a minute later with help from Brandon Ratzloff and Thomas Magnavite to make the score 8-1 and give the Chill the win over the Milwaukee Power. Goalie Devin Naidow gets the win in net, stopping 26 of 27 total shots faced.
Rounding out regular season play, the Chill will have just one regular season home game on Friday, March 8th against the Rochester Grizzlies, followed by two away games, one against the Rochester Grizzlies on March 9th and the other against the Wisconsin Whalers on March 10th.
