Forward Dominik Florian and defenseman Nico Luka receive honorable mentions from the NAHL after a great weekend against the Springfield Jr. Blues.
Florian, native of Vlasim, CZE, was an integral part of the 5-3 comeback win against the Jr. Blues on Friday night. After the Chill fell in an 0-3 deficit in the 1st period, Florian – along with the rest of the Chill players – stepped up. Florian assisted on the first two Chill goals, scored his own in the latter half of the 2nd to tie the game at three, and assisted on Isaac Theisens' empty-net goal to make the final score 5-3. After failing to score any points in Saturday nights contest, Florian finished the weekend with one goal and three assists for four points.
Luka, native of Bartlett, IL, scored what would be the game-winning goal in Friday nights victory. That goal was his 4th of the season and 2nd game-winning goal of his junior hockey career. On Saturday night Luka assisted on two of the three goals scored by the Chill. Luka now has four goals and 15 assists for 19 points on the season. He currently leads all Chill defenseman in all three categories.
